Their company – Maypole Environmental Ltd – issued a media release to this effect, contained on page 5 of the Kapiti News a couple of weeks back, part of it reproduced above.
Being west of the Expressway, this will be part of the big development that this trio intend for the general Waikanae Beach area.
We’re told by the council consents officer that their plans total over 1,000 pages, but as this company intends to start work on this first stage next month we need to get on with our analysis of the implications for Waikanae generally and the beach area in particular.
We have no confidence whatsoever in the fourth paragraph of their media release quoted above.
