If you enjoy the walking tracks around the estuary you will already appreciate the years of hard work that this wonderful group has put in to making it a haven for wildlife — and they badly need volunteers! If you’ve recently relinquished a life-style garden for a smaller home, think of getting your gardening “fix” with them every fortnight. 🙂
Pam Stapleton says everyone is hugely welcome to their Open Day and the first of their autumn group planting days – including planting native plants on the dunes and weeding.
Meet them at the Tutere Street Estuary Car Park (look for the flags) — morning tea (yummy home baking) is provided and some tools and gloves, but bring your own if you have some. Wear suitable clothing (keep an eye on the weather).
If a postponement is necessary (surely not, looking outside now) it will be announced over the radio — Beach FM 106.3
