According to owner Amanda:

“Marley has been missing since overnight Wednesday 18th October 2017 from Sylvan Avenue, Waikanae, between David Street and Parklands entrance.

“He is a large fluffy ginger male, approx. 10 years old, white chest, tummy and feet. Marley doesn’t usually wander far and never is one to miss a meal so this is very out of character for him.

“Marley is inquisitive and chatty so should be easily seen or heard if locked in your garage or shed by mistake. Could you please check your property for me?

“We are very worried about him so any information would be greatly appreciated. Please call Amanda on 904 4095 or 027 2227 226 with any recent sightings.

“We have learned since his disappearance that another cat nearby in the street has also gone missing since this time. A cash reward is offered for Marley’s safe return to us, no questions asked.”

It seems to us that Marley and the other cat were abducted, particularly given the location mentioned.  Eva remembers regularly seeing Marley near the bus stop; a friendly cat who wasn’t shy with strangers. We feel really sad for Amanda and hope Marley will be returned to her.
