From Sue Lusk:
Waikanae Library will have Victorian themed dress-ups and photos, and Christmas tree decorating from 10.00 a.m. till 2.00 p.m., and face painting during the morning too, right up until Father Christmas comes — so maybe bring your littlies closer to lunchtime for these activities so they don’t get too hot and tired waiting for Father Christmas.
We’ll also have outside board games and a People’s Ambulance jigsaw during the morning and Pam from the Library will have a story-time outside at 10.30 a.m.
There’s a raffle next to the People’s Ambulance to fund-raise for Wellington Free Ambulance.
Graeme Joyes from Coast Access Radio will be setting the mood in the morning with Christmas music, then Brasso will be playing in the square from noon till about 1.00 p.m. followed by the Ukes of Wellington playing Christmas carols for everyone to sing along to (song sheets provided!).
And Father Christmas will arrive at around 1.45 p.m. accompanied by his elves!
It’s always such a lovely event — come along and enjoy it all with us. 🙂
