We figure some returning from vacation are likely to come back to scenes like this.

Plants are like people and animals — they don’t like getting too hot.  Most of the year for plants in pots it’s not a problem, but during the summer they can not not only dehydrate but cook in earthenware pots.

Put them out of direct sun during afternoons at least, or simply plant them in the ground.
