After seeing the post on the problem our neighborhood has with mosquitoes from Parkwood, a well-wisher bought us one of these from a shop in Porirua.

It is battery-powered and a button electrifies the wire mesh. When you swipe at a mosquito or fly and it touches the mesh — zap! kaput!

The downside is you need to keep it beside you for quick use; the upside is that it helps you with your tennis technique. 🙂
