In reference to the article ‘six of the most ridiculous overseas stories of 2018’, a reader has sent us this picture set asking, ‘would the KCDC be dumb enough to do this?’

It’s an interesting question, but first let’s ponder why it was done.

The only apparent explanation would be that the whitish path was created as a Politically Correct cycle way and because it meets steel covers over a subterranean service entrance in the brick path, this narrow piece of fence was put there so that they have to dismount, or at least not cycle over it. That must be in the city council rule book.

Would the KCDC do something like this? We leave that answer to you, dear readers.
