We noticed this last Saturday — the librarian in charge said he was unaware of where it came from, but it wasn’t in the previous library.  Perhaps a well-wisher feeling sorry for Waikanae library users donated it?  The guy liked our observation that it compensated for all the dull concrete outside in Mahara Place.   🙂
