At the Council meeting on 24 June boss Mr Maxwell claimed he didn’t know what infrastructure the council had at the facility. So for his edification, apart from the driveway, these containers seem to be what it consists of.
This is being organised by activists opposed to the closure.
Remember this is another reduction in Council services for Waikanae people, but Rates are still going up.

I encourage Waikanae residents to attend this meeting and make clear your thoughts about the closure (in the absence of true consultation) of the recycling facility (glass, paper/cardboard, tin cans, aluminium cans and plastics number 1,2 and 5 containers) in Park Ave. Waikanae.
I certainly would like to…not much point whinging about it when there is opportunity to at least support whoever is organizing it…. what do you think??

I wholeheartedly oppose the closure of our recycling facilities. I can’t be at the meeting, but put a hand up for me.
