A bit of excitement was created in our normally sedate town by someone running amok with a shotgun and stolen cars at about 7:45 am last Sunday.
from Newshub —
Shortly before 8 o’clock [Sunday] morning court documents state he fired a shotgun at two properties in Waikanae on the Kapiti Coast.
Police say he also shot at an officer, aimed the weapon at a member of the public, and stole a number of vehicles.
The 32-year-old was arrested a short time later.
He faces 15 charges including kidnapping, discharging a firearm, aggravated robbery, using a firearm against police, threatening to kill, and stealing cars.
He remained in the cells during this morning’s short hearing at Porirua District Court, and has been remanded in custody until next week.
His name is suppressed for now.
The Stuff article includes a short video interview with a witness.

Something is wrong with a Justice System – that grants name suppression in cases like this.

Look at it this way Margaret, something is seriously wrong with the justice system when Jacinda and her crew can, without impediment but instead assistance, cause far more harm, stress, worry and destruction of lives and businesses with her lock-downs, vaccine mandates and implementation of an apartheid society, than this loony ever could dream of doing. Who knows it may have been her actions that tipped him over the edge? Or maybe he is just one of ‘her gang buddies’?

There is also the possibility that the Pfizer jabs caused it — there has been a lot of speculation about the case in Timaru where a recently double jabbed immigrant from South Africa killed her three children.
