The tens of thousands of recovered positive cases (active cases peaked at over 200,000 but are now down to 47,000) will have effectively had an Omicron vaccine because of their infection: The CEO of Pfizer admitted that their substance was useless against Omicron.
The Queensland experience is pretty much what sensible, objective people should have expected and probably did expect. Instead in Jacindaland, minister Hipkins has paid massive amounts for wild exaggerations.
Why does NZ need modeling if we are 6 months behind other countries with opening borders and ending lockdowns, mask mandates and nRNA shot mandates? Why don’t the so called “experts’ just look at how other countries are doing or have done? Your example of Queensland is perfect.
You will note that the MSM always compares NZ with NSW or Victoria, never Queensland or any of the other States. Queensland has performed way better than us right from the beginning, without the geographical advantage that we enjoy. Usual quality investigative NZ journalism. Far more truth about NZ comes from the Australian media. If they were wise I think many of the MSM senior managers should find other employment overseas pretty soon. Local opportunities might be limited next year. I hope that is so Geoff. With the convoy and statements of claim with the police, how will men and women make citizens arrests if the police fail to act? The police have been politicised and cowed. These politicians have ways to keep the public at bay so the aggrieved will need to be creative because these beggars will bunker in.
