You know things are changing when in just one week:-
- a fireman jumps out of the car and chases you down the road to say thank you from him and the guys;
- you’re on day 6 of a billboard campaign and only two billboards have been messed with; (security camera pics identifying the perpetrators and their license plate details are with the police before any of you trolls reading this have further ideas);
- a WW2 veteran stands uniformed in the rain outside his gate for over an hour to salute a convoy of Kiwis driving across New Zealand in the name of freedom;
- a policeman agrees with you that masks are useless, and that their people “getting sick in MIQ because they have to wear them all the time”;
- there’s a fire truck in the freedom convoy;
- even though life is mostly unrecognisable, you can’t stop smiling, hugging and laughing with strangers;
- your teenager looks incredulous and tells you it “feels like normal again” because there is not one mask at the freedom convoy food stop;
- thousands of people stand for hours in the pouring rain and still cheer and wave their signs when you drive by;
- a policeman lets you know how far away the freedom convey is and says you’re doing a great job;
- strangers say “hi” in the street and tap your shoulder in the supermarket to tell you they watch every webinar;
- the air hostess sneaks up in the plane to whisper “thank you” and thrusts a airplane sick bag into your hand covered in links, names and websites about the Covid truth that’s she says is helping wake up her colleagues;
- the lovely lady checking you in sees your “Voices For Freedom bag” and says “I’m vaccine injured, I’m not getting the booster.”
When we stand together and speak out, we are unstoppable, and this week, New Zealand saw us, read our messages and heard us roar.
In spite of the constant barrage of horrendous propaganda and discrimination, the mood of a huge group of Kiwis up and down New Zealand is changing. Togetherness, joy and hope are on the rise as we stand side by side, on the right side of history and take our freedoms back.
Team of five million? Not today, thanks. Today we are nothing like the hollow and heartless mob our Prime Minister has mercilessly sought to create by coercion and bullying with draconian Covid mandates.
Instead, we are a whole-hearted, steady and truly welcoming community of everyday Kiwis.
We stand side by side, hug and support one another and laugh and cry together as we fight for the freedoms of our children, our neighbours and ourselves.
We’ve seen and heard from so many brave and beautiful people this weekend. We’ve seen the incredible work of many tireless volunteers and supporters, and it’s truly inspiring.
And, we are growing fast. The new push for boosters, mandates and revelations about jab passport expiry dates, and ongoing discrimination is opening eyes up and down the country.
Let’s keep this powerful positive momentum going. How can you help? Maybe you’d like to get more involved with community events? Perhaps there’s a behind the scenes role for you? Or you might be the person that can keep the mood high in your neighbourhood? Whoever you are, whatever your passion, there’s something you can do to help reclaim the freedoms of everyday Kiwis and build the kind of New Zealand we all dream of…

That smug-face of jacinda, is enough for everyone. What a tyrant. Goodness, her face, her attitude, her (lack of) manner …………. is despicable. She is not a leader, a PM, or what ever else she may think she is ……….. she is a nothing, controlled and dictated to by her controllers – herr schwab, big pharma, and the banksters.
Outstanding support for the freedom movement, and bring it on for change in our country. I am supporting from afar; another Kiwi stranded overseas. I am following and watching, and the change in attitude of our people is fantastic.
Thank you to all you good people for standing up against the jacinda tyranny. Let the “B” fall on her own sword.

Meanwhile Pravda NZ (Formerly known as Stuffed) leads with a headline:
“Anti vaxxers target primary schools with ‘extreme’ messages” and Ardern does a Trudeau and goes into hiding refusing to meet with the protesters.

It was curious that both conveniently came up with an excuse before major events — Waitangi Day and the Ottawa truckers.

Stuff preaches to Jacindanistas, but they at least draw attention to what opponents are saying rather than ignoring them.

Two classes of people (yep!) suits government style. It is termed “divide and conquer.”
The Adern led government is ignoring democratic procedure, with farcical select committees – just token consultation – and even no select committee at times.

Yes ,,,,,,,,,,,,, both of them cowards – front up to the people jacinda – you owe it to the people of your country (yes, New Zealand, and not what ever else you want to call our country). You are supposed to represent the people, not dictate and control the populace.
Your are a “nothing leader”.

When all this settles down, all those people who lost their jobs should have the wages and salaries that they missed out on while grounded, paid for by the government ministers themselves; they caused the problem, they should fix it.

A MP is a public servant elected by the people to serve the public interest.
The Prime Minister is simply the most senior public servant in the land.
She is not our leader.
Nor do I ever address a cabinet minister as Right Honourable. They invariably are very ordinary citizens, often nothing right or honourable about them..
Waikanae watchers said:
Sometimes we think our sarcasm about her and her cronies isn’t fully appreciated.

Certainly agree that the Prime Minister is the democratically elected head of the Public Service. Seems it does not take long for that to be forgotten after being elected. MMP was suppose to moderate that autocracy , but seems that it just becomes more wheeling and dealing behind closed doors.. Not sure were teh checks on parliament have fallen down.
Tony Orman said:
Not sure if “Waikanae Watchers” meant my comment was sarcasm.? Far from it! Each and every PM is the most senior public servant, every MP is a public servant, supposedly dedicated to serving the public interest.
As for Rt Hon for MPs, their track record over recent decades shows they don’t deserve to be regarded or titled as “honourable”. No sarcasm, just fact and reality.
Waikanae watchers said:
We are being sarcastic in calling JA Dear Leader of Jacindaland, basically saying from the same mold as the one in North Korea, a sociopath who thinks she’s almighty.

Tony Ormand is correct.
The MPs in the current government are ordinary people with political ambitions.
They are chosen, supported and promoted by a small minority of influential party members and funders to represent them.
Elections are a process by which voters HIRE these people to work for them for the next 3 years.
The working taxpayers of NZ pay the salaries, expenses, pensions and perks of these temporary employees and should expect value for their money.
The PM is chosen by the elite and influential members of his or her political party and not by the voters.
The main responsibility of these employees of ours is to manage the activities of the many bureaucrats and civil servants that we also employ so that they do their jobs cost effectively for the benefit of the citizens.
The PM, ministers, MPs and all government workers are SERVANTS OF THE PEOPLE and not our bosses or rulers as they sometimes seem to believe.
WE ARE COLLECTIVELY THEIR EMPLOYERS AND BOSSES who can and should fire them in the next election if we are not satisfied with their performance.
The performance of our government employees has not been satisfactory for many years.
The living standards of workers have deteriorated.
More and more people are dependent government assistance paid for by fewer workers.
Most people and the nation are deeply in debt.
Educational achievement has declined.
Housing has become unaffordable.
The medical services have deteriorated.
There is an epidemic of mental illness.
We are burdened by more and more government regulations, taxes, license fees, permits, fines and other charges.
Publicly owned resources and assets have been sold off and the money has been wasted.
Crime has increased to the point where the police have to be heavily armed to protect themselves from violence.
We are obviously hiring the wrong people to serve us in our governments and need to become better employers.
The ones we have now are more interested in power and virtue signaling than effectively doing what we pay them for.
We can all join and participate as active members in a political party to help select, support and promote people to represent and work for us in our government
BUT, SADLY, LESS THAN 1% OF THE PEOPLE DO THIS.
The Labour Party probably has only 12,000 members and less than 2000 are actively involved.
National might have more members but not many active ones either.
Most of the influential members of these parties are older, financially secure and do not understand the concerns of ordinary working people who are trying to get by and support families on inadequate incomes.
That élite minority of influential party members and funders (donors that we are not aware of) might be getting what they want but the rest of us get very little in return for all the money we are forced to pay.
The best way to improve our government would be for more and more ordinary working taxpayers to join and participate in one or the other of the 2 main political parties to choose better people to represent them in their government.
Join up.
Front Up.
Infiltrate.
Attend the local monthly meetings. There are usually less than 12 people there.
Disrupt the PC/woke culture of these little groups.
Reform the political parties.
Select and support candidates that can be trusted to work for the people.
If we are not satisfied with the current government employees who do not respect us enough to even speak with those who travel to Wellington to express their concerns
WE NEED TO BLAME OURSELVES FOR HIRING AND EMPLOYING THE WRONG PEOPLE TO SERVE US IN OUR GOVERNMENT.
Lew. said:
Our dear leader along with PHIL Goff Mallard and probably more of our servants all took part in protests in years gone by I wonder what their expectations towards the government of their day would have been.
Charlie Baycroft said:
Lew.
Many of the political activists of the 70″s and 80’s joined and pretty much took over the Labour Party in order to get the changes that they wanted into legislation.
These people realized that one must participate in the system to understand and take advantage of it.
The current agendas of these influential party members are more socialism and government authority (by their representatives of course), climate change, “indigenous rights”, white “privilege” and other aspects of the “woke” culture.
These influential political party members fit the definition of “omnipotent moral busybodies” who feel entitled to make everyone else agree with them and do as they say.
As long as such people are the majority of active political party members they will select and impose like minded politicians on the rest of us.
MMP gives them the ability to place there own kind (list MPs) in important government roles without permission from the voters.
Follow the system to it’s core and you will realize that the only way to change the culture and agendas of the people in our government is to change the active and influential membership of the 2 main political parties.
Since there are so few of these people and they are getting old now it would not be very difficult for younger working people to join, participate, gain influence and change the culture, agendas and policies of the parties.
People who have no like minded representatives in the current government have NO INFLUENCE on what happens to them and their families.
Protests and demonstrations are all useful strategies but they do not achieve anything unless there are are also some supportive MPs in Wellington to speak for those who disagree with what is being done.
We do not need or desire anger, insults, civil unrest or violence to change our government and protect liberal democracy from destruction.
All we need is more ordinary productive working people joining and becoming active members of the Labour and National parties.
Waikanae watchers said:
Labour is likely a lost cause, it makes more sense to join National, Judith Collins said year it’s grass roots party unlike Labour which is dominated by hardline ideologues.
Charlie Baycroft said:
I am not promoting any particular party.
Just suggesting a way for ordinary, decent productive working people to get a government that cares about them.
Seems to me that Labour and National are much like “colas”.
Red label or blue there is not that much difference.
National is more likely to serve vested corporate interests because that’s their most likely source of funding.
Not sure where Labour gets their “donations” from but the membership fees ($5.00 per annum for many) would not go very far.
In my electorate (red as can be) there are about 50,000 registered voters,
There are about 280 Labour Party members.
Around 186 have paid their subs.
10 or 12 attend the monthly meetings.
Our local MP has an extremely important portfolio and some very clear prejudices that are being integrated into legislation.
10 or 20 new members with different opinions could make quite a difference.
