Update
It seems Jacindanistas have once again conducted one of their regular ‘cancel culture’ campaigns and TradeMe withdrew the auction — you’re not allowed to criticize her or her Commandant Coster.

For those who missed it before trademe just took it out, there were 315 messages (in the questions box) to Tatman, the trade name of the Upper Hutt ex-policeman who created the auction. The few messages I read were totally favourable, as I suspect the majority were. Well done you Tatman – your auction was a classic statement and had the ability to say more than any of us, even the most eloquent, could ever say. There is a better era coming Tatman, and you will be the Honourable Commissioner for police (maybe a new name here?) in New Zealand. And when that happens, I hope I am there to personally shake your hand and congratulate you.
