Golden as it is the 50th year of operation (it began in the days of the Horowhenua County Council, the Otaki and Waikanae parts of which became part of KCDC in 1989).

The KCDC says: “Thank you to everyone who’s come along and enjoyed the pools in our 50th summer season, and for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate a tricky set of circumstances.  This Sunday, 20 March, is your last chance to visit before the pools close for the season. Visit our website for opening hours and to plan your final summer splash. The team would love to see you there.”

Hopefully, when it reopens (circa November) it will be without the annoying restrictions that have marred this summer.
