Last month’s storm and the huge sea swells caused some pretty significant damage to our Kāpiti dune network. Would you like to play a part in helping build them back up?
We’ve recently had 6000 new kōwhangatara and pīngao (spinifex) delivered to bolster areas where our dunes need some help. These will be used at numerous sites along our coastline.
Kōwhangatara and pīngao can handle saltwater washing over them, and the fresh sand will bring new nutrients to the plants.
