The so-called Treaty of Waitangi has run its course and should be scrapped. Maori have done very well out of the Treaty and now it has been used as a gravy train for the Maori elite. Waitangi day should now be called New Zealand day??
In fact the Norman Kirk government did change it to NZ Day in 1973; the Muldoon government changed in back in 1976.
