What is going on here? Is this all about removing parking? The cones and barricades are temporary, but the orange poles look permanent. Quite a nice colour in the right place, but here somewhat intrusive (depends on your taste I guess).
The bollards are yellow (same as the traffic light post), this pic must have been about 8 pm. We really don’t know why this was done. The council voted to keep parallel parking and not angle parking (the only thing that they were given a vote on. A few parking spaces were eliminated).
It’s all good. You folks down south are just getting a little taste of bureaucratic incompetence that mainstreet Otaki township endured for 2 years.
Two years of mess to do a road a few hundred feet long…
They pulled down the good old stone wall to put that monstrocity up ? The old stone wall had character and definitely provided a safer option . What a mess !
From his photo it would appear that we have at least one Town Councillor who has the Proper Care & Consideration of Waikanae in his thoughts of such a Great Atractive Suburb and surrounding area. Pity we have so many others who are not so concerned.
