For Zelensky, the small city of Bakhmut was the equivalent of what Stalingrad was for Hitler and he threw everything at holding it including an estimated 50,000 soldiers who are now dead, but it has gone the same way as Stalingrad — the Russians have reclaimed it.

But will it be rebuilt? Based on these two comparative pictures, that seems highly dubious. The roads and railway will be, but probably not much else. It represents yet another example of the tragedy of the demented Biden & Co.’s war against Russia.

Before Biden’s war the population was about 71,000 but it’s likely nearly all have moved out, most probably eastwards, some maybe into Western Europe.
