The Māori Health Authority. Three Waters reforms. Unelected voting members on local councils.
New Zealand is being transformed into a country where your rights depend on who your ancestors were.
Labour is treating people differently based on their ethnic group.
What is co-government?
Co-government means some representatives are democratically elected and others get a seat at the table because of who their ancestors were.
There’s been no debate
Co-government is everywhere, but nobody has ever asked whether we want it. People feel unable to criticise it for fear of being called racist. In a democracy, we the people should have the right to determine the future of our country.
Our proposal
ACT proposes that the next government passes legislation that says all citizens have the same political rights, then ask the people to vote on it becoming law.
ACT stands for equal rights. One person, one vote. We hope you join us.
Read ACT’s Democracy or Co-Government policy document here.
(The National Party has the same stance on ‘co-governance’)
That’s nice, ACT. Now apologize for supporting vaccine mandates and “safe and effective”.
Spot on Harry.
This is a pathetic attempt to rehabilitate himself obliquely because he can’t bring himself to say that he was anything but a libertarian when it came to bodily autonomy. If you want to off the unborn or the elderly, he’s your best friend but otherwise forget about it.
I am not particularly enamoured of any politician but it would be funny if NZ First cannibalise some of ACT’s votes.
Democracy is a system of government based on everyone having EQUAL NATURAL RIGHTS.
The politicians in a democratic government have to treat every citizen equally to protect their equal natural rights.
When some people are granted unequal privileges, opportunities, public funds and other advantages at the expense of thr rest, we should know that our government is no longer democratic.
Ancestry is not a valid excuse for government DISCRIMINATION in favour of any group of citizens at the expense of the rest!
Ancestry does not entitle anyone to unequal privileges, opportunities, public funds and other unfair advantages and people in governments ought to prevent this injustice instead of promoting it.
When our representativres in our government promote division and hostility between different “tribes” of people, we need to replace them with new representatives that understand democracy and treat all citizens equally.
PARTY VOTE ACT or better still join and become an active member to help restore democratic government in New Zealand.
