This one ocurred in Alberta, Canada. Because they are chemical and exothermic, EV battery fires can’t be extinguished with water. How toxic is that black smoke? You wouldn’t want to find out.
I found this quite interesting. I lived in Calgary, Alberta for 9 years. There were 2 sayings about the Calgary weather (1) There are 2 seasons, Winter and Stampede Week (2)If you can’t see the Rockies, it’s snowing and if you can see them, it is snowing. I mention this because I would not imagine EVs being all that safe to drive in the non Calgary Stampede week road conditions. I had a 4×4 most of the time I was there, and even that occasionally got stuck in the snow.
