Although it states Paraparaumu, the Otaihanga Boating Club is so close to the Waikanae River south bank we consider it honorary Waikanae. For pedestrians there is the domain footbridge a short distance away; it’s more convoluted by car, take the Otaihanga turnoff on the old SH1.
