It’s not clear when the invitation to the public for ideas about the library and service centre will happen: the council website states:–
“The future Waikanae Library is currently at this stage
November 2020 to March 2021
“As part of the Long Term Plan pre-consultation, We’ll be asking the community to tell us their ideas for a new library/Council service centre. Comments will inform our Long-term Plan bid for a new or upgraded facility.”

Please watch out for the dtiver of a blue audi sports car. Suffered road rage this morning as he flashed his lights and shouted for car to pull out onto a road when it was unsafe to do so. Safety in driving is paramount and aggresive driving is not okay.

The promised regeneration of the centre has not yet emerged, I see on 8 souls walking the place. Was it really worth all the millions spent and still being spent on it?

There can’t be any dispute that the old Mahara Place was drab as. Do Kapiti ratepayers get good value from contractors? Definitely not, but that’s not a problem confined to the KCDC.

Looks like they are already asking for feedback if you look on their website. On social there has been lots of activities, I’m not lucky enough to get the weekly papers so I can’t comment there. We need to feed into it as isnt it their plan paper that sets future direction. This is our chance waikanae, let’s not moan, let’s give them feedback.
