At the northern outskirts of Paraparaumu, and the location of the ‘olde worlde’ photo from 1957 a few days ago.   The neighbouring Boat City has bought the lot to expand its showroom.

This closure is even before the Expressway opens, although our guess is the sale date is based on the earlier announcement of when this would happen.

It won’t surprise us if the Mobil and G.A.S. stations in Waikanae also close before the year is out, leaving only the unmanned pumps in New World.
