A post on the Kapiti Coast Community FB page reads:

To the lovely gentleman who was tailgating me in his white car, flashing his headlights at me when I was driving 50 km/h in the 50 km zone out of Waikanae towards Paraparaumu this morning….. and then had the audacity to give me the finger and swear at me because I was driving 80 in an 80 zone and sped past me towards Otaihanga…. I hope you have a nice day 🙄🙌 I took your deets but am loathed to share it with the world!

stop bullyingMost people have probably had an experience like this at some stage, and it’s unacceptable behaviour.

Apart from tailgating being dangerous, coupling it with rudeness is what provokes road rage, and needs to be combated.  The thing to do is report the details of the car, driver, time, date, the location and what happened on the Police website: “Report an unsafe driving incident“.
