A photo by George Leslie Adkin (1888-1964) with markers indicating specific features, presumably for a publication of the time.  As those who visit the area know, the appearance has changed significantly since then.

The detail below from a map of the era seems to reveal what the two marker lines on the right indicate:  the Waimeha River and the site of the Kuititanga Pa.
