On December 9, we contacted the [World Health Organisation] to see whether that finding was still accurate, or whether anyone who had tested positive for omicron had died since the November 28 technical brief [above]. A spokesperson responded to us via email the following day, writing:
“For Omicron, we have not had any deaths reported, but it is still early in the clinical course of disease and this may change.”
In other words, international public health officials’ work to measure the variant’s impact on populations globally remained ongoing, though, as of December 10, they had not documented a death. Considering that evidence, we rate this [above headline] “True.”
Of course that doesn’t suit the agenda of the Jacinda government and her paid Mainstream Media whose objective is to maintain a climate of fear to justify her ridiculous ‘traffic lights.’ —Eds
