After the Stuffers’ latest Jacinda-government-paid smear campaign against her opponents (see earlier) we recommended that people stop advertising with this corporate enemy of free speech and democracy, and that Kapiti people instead advertise in NZME’s Kapiti News.
That now seems to be happening locally. The Kapiti Observer, the advertising freebie owned by Ms Boucher, is now only delivered to a limited number of houses (we’ve not had one for several weeks); it used to be delivered to the Waikanae library and the Postshop, but that stopped over a month ago, and the last 3 issues were only 16 pages.
We hope that this demise happens elsewhere. Ms Boucher can’t expect her behaviour not to have consequences.

Great News hopefully it will start to happen up here in the Far North with the Northern Nuseless and The Bay Comical. We have just started to receive The Bay Comical a/k/a The Bay Advertiser in our mail box again. Makes you/me/he/him/she/her/not sure wonder if it is an attempt to claim an increase in circulation/readership, wouldn’t put it past them. As far as NZME is concerned, have you ever had a look who their top 20 shareholders are? https://www.nzme.co.nz/investor-relations/major-shareholders/

The Herald isn’t quite as bad as Ms Boucher’s business and with those affluent shareholders shouldn’t need subsidies from this government.

True but LOOK who the shareholders ARE!

In addition to Waikanae Watch- I read and rate highly The Kapiti News.
