A natural 14-hectare garden, it is the biggest single remnant of coastal lowland swamp forest on the Kāpiti Coast.
Learn about their restoration journey to preserve indigenous flora, including New Zealand’s native mistletoe.
A selection of rare and specialised native plants, belonging to the Kāpiti area, and cultivated by Ngā Manu’s gardening team, will be available for sale. Along with a kiosk offering snacks and drinks for refreshments, and onsite restroom facilities, it’s the perfect spot for a mid-trail break.
