the forthcoming Hikoi for Health

30 Wednesday Apr 2025

The Leftist Legacy media gave huge coverage to TPM’s hikoi for racism — will they give this any coverage? If they do, more than likely it will be negative.

by Dr Matt Shelton

The elephant in the ambulance.

A Hikoi for Health is currently travelling through the North Island, presenting a rare opportunity for New Zealanders affected by vaccine injuries to have their experiences documented by healthcare representatives who have mainstream media attention.

While these healthcare professionals express concern about our health system, they’re overlooking the elephant in the room – the overwhelming demand caused by sickness from the covid-19 vaccine program that’s crippling our healthcare system.

The health system’s crisis stems from:

  • A tsunami of increased healthcare burden from vaccine injuries
  • Loss of experienced healthcare professionals who chose bodily autonomy
  • Illness and death among vaccinated healthcare workers themselves

This is our chance to ensure the true cause of our healthcare crisis is acknowledged. We urge our supporters to attend these events, speak calmly and factually about your experiences, and record interactions if possible.

Read our full position statement: The Elephant in the Room at the Hikoi for Health

The Hikoi for Health website: https://healthreformnz.org/

Upcoming Hikoi for Health events:

W’anganui: Monday, 5 May (afternoon/evening) Venue TBC*-

Palmerston North: Tuesday, 6 May (midday) Venue TBC

Levin: Tuesday, 6 May (afternoon/evening) Venue TBC

Wellington: Thursday, 8 May, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Parliament grounds

If you cannot attend in person, you can still send your story through the Hikoi for Health website.

We don’t need “more of the same, but better” – we need a fundamentally different approach that acknowledges what’s truly burdening our healthcare system.

The evidence of DNA contamination in mRNA vaccines, the emerging cancer epidemic, and the burden of chronic illness from vaccine injuries require a fundamentally different approach to healthcare.

Zelensky has made his bed, now he can lie in it

30 Wednesday Apr 2025

The US needs to heed the advice of its Founding Fathers and avoid this foreign entanglement. We should end military and monetary aid if Zelensky resists peace and continues the conflict. Joe Biden said he would do whatever it takes to help Ukraine defeat Russia, but he’s demented and out of office. Most Americans are tired of paying for a war that does not benefit us or ‘democracy.’ Zelensky is a dictator who claims he’s saving democracy, but the facts show he stopped elections and ended free speech. He closed churches and outlawed opposition parties. That’s hardly democratic.

If Zelensky does not cooperate with the peace process, Trump should wash his hands of the matter, walk away, end the aid to Ukraine, and let Russia finish the job.

KCDC proposes 6.9% Rates increase for the 2025/2026 financial year

30 Wednesday Apr 2025

That’s lower than the 7.1% mentioned in last year’s Long Term Plan but still well up on inflation (2.5%).

When added to last year’s 17.3% increase (on average) it means that Kapiti Ratepayers now face imposts that are a quarter higher than 2 years ago. Many people in this district rely mainly on pensions which do not increase at this rate!

We cannot be work slaves for the council!

Needless to say, Concerned Ratepayers Kapiti are aghast at these increases and actively analyzing what is wrong with the council and how Rates can be reduced.

Canadian election: Conservative Party makes significant gains but not enough to win

30 Wednesday Apr 2025

In the 338 seat parliament located in Ottawa, 170 is needed for a majority. The governing Liberal (Leftist) Party is projected to have 166 (160 in 2021), the Conservatives 144 (119 in 2021), the hard left New Democrats 7 (25 in 2021), the Bloc Québécois 23 (32 in 2021) and one for a Greenie (2 in 2021).

In terms of national vote share, the Libs have 43.5% (32.6 % in 2021), the Conservatives 41.4% (33.7 in 2021), the NDP 6.3% (17.8%). The Bloc Québécois only runs for the seats in Quebec, 78 of them.

Obviously, a lot of people deserted the NDP in favour of the Liberals which in turn must have lost a lot of voters to the Conservatives.

The notable and clearly successful platform for the Leftists was opposition to Donald Trump! Canada is the third largest trading partner for the US after Mexico and then China. As noted in the previous post, it should mean some tense times ahead.

Book review: ‘The Living Tree: a New Zealand habitat’

By Tony Orman

The tree is a living ecosystem in itself and depending on the species, host and/or food source to a variety of wildlife from birds to insects to lizards and even others like fungi and parasitic plants.

A talented writer and illustrator

Author of over 200 youngster’s books, mostly on wildlife, Dave Gunson is very talented as he also illustrates his books with detailed and delightful illustrations.

Visual impact is so vital to initially stimulating a kid’s interest and in maintaining it throughout. Dave Gunson succeeds admirably in his latest book on trees and the assortment of wildlife that depend on that tree.

A wonderful insight into trees and their ecosystems

Dave Gunson gives a fascinating insight into both native and introduced trees and the complexity of the ecosystem around a tree.

A tree has its own community of wildlife that may be birds, animals, insects, plants and fungi. Perhaps the creatures and associated plants and fungi live happily together, or perhaps predator-prey relationships are paramount.

The book gives brief but informative thumbnail verbal sketches, plus delightful illustrations, of birds like the fantail, kereru (wood pigeon), blackbird, grey warbler, tomtit, kōkako, guru (morepork) and others.

Similarly with invertebrates such as ladybirds, aphids, praying mantis, wetas and others, a surprising number I had never heard of e.g. shore skink, forest gecko, flower spider and two-spined spider, elephant weevil and others.

Not just for kids

This book is just not for kids; adults will learn much from it too. It’s yet another book for youngsters by the very talented award winning artist and writer Dave Gunson.

I say “yet another” for Dave Gunson has written an incredible 200 plus books that usually focus on New Zealand’s wildlife. His latest is not just educational but especially revealing of the place of trees in the ecosystem and the wildlife that depends on them.

Aimed by the publishers at 8 to 12 year olds, I’d reiterate it’s such good value information-wise that not only youngsters but adults will learn things they never knew, about trees and the life about trees.

The tree is a living ecosystem in itself and depending on the species, host and/or food source to a variety of wildlife from birds to insects to lizards and even others like fungi and parasitic plants.

This book is a winner and will nurture in youngsters – tomorrow’s adult citizens – an appreciation of trees and their vital value.  Highly recommended.

The Living Tree: a New Zealand habitat by Dave Gunson is published by Bateman books, Recommended Retail Price $24.99
