“Paul Forrest has been busy installing the artworks for The Halo Project this week in our forest. ‘Our aim is to celebrate the dynamic beauty of our native birdlife through contemporary visual art and sound. We also want to use this opportunity to generate conversation about the importance of native tree planting projects and supporting initiatives that stimulate a healthy native birdlife throughout New Zealand. If our native birdlife is healthy then the land is healthy. It’s as simple as that!’
“The artworks exhibited along our forest walkway are a mixture of hand painted mark making over the top of laminated photographs on ACM. They are completely weatherproof and can hang indoors or out and are available for purchase along with limited edition postcards of the artworks.
“We have a fun observation activity around the artwork in the forest for children over the holidays; Ranger for the Day Experience (bookings required) and our cottage is available for overnight stays – call 04 2934131 for bookings” 🙂
