An article on the front page of this week’s Kapiti News covers a new craft gin distillery called “indiginous” (a variation on indigenous) which has taken second place in the Australasian category of the UK’s Gin Guide Awards.
The pair responsible for the product — Simon Wilson and Chris Charteris — say they have really only been going “two or three months” — well, they’ve actually been at it for a while longer than that with recipes and trial and error, but an award like that so quick is impressive!
The indiginous website has a picture of the pair, and a shop page with details of their product. Cheers! 🙂
After Wokeists objected to the name indiginous — claiming that it implied Maori drank gin — the business was forced to change its name to “imagination”
