Now THIS is REALLY interesting. Doe this Liebour site show ALL Liebour endorsed candidates through out New Zealand? For example, I would LOVE to know which, if any, Far North District Council candidates are Liebour endorsed. If all Liebour endorsed candidates are shown, it could be a great weapon for WE the PEOPLE to create some real change
In the 2019 elections in Kapiti the Labour Party sent its members details of which members were standing so to vote for them, so the Labour website is not a complete list of who are members — the only way to find that out is to ask. Being a Labour Party official candidate means committing to the Party’s policies in return for having all their expenses paid by the Party. Being endorsed probably means some financial support but you need to ask the candidates that, and you can probably tell from answers to questions anyway who are Labour (and Green Party) members. In Kapiti, Sophie Handford and Jackie Elliott definitely are.
After reading your post for I did a search for this “labour endorsed council candidates New Zealand” and found this https://www.labour.org.nz/localbody2022 but it is just the tip of the iceberg. Look at the fake news STUFFED DOT CON and NZ Ferald articles promoting Liebour. Might be interesting to find out how many FNDC candidates are Jasinsiter Lackeys. Interest there is nothing on the Liebour site about any Northern councils. Interesting how few councils are listed.
To call herself independent and to also sign up with Labour is surely
misrepresentation which goes on to include untrustworthy and beyond – fraud, deceit etc.
For Holborow to be independent she ought not have a contract with Labour. She needs questioning on this point.
Holborow cannot be independent prior to the election then team up with Labour after the election. To do so would be extremely shifty.
Her voting record in the house will have to be scrutinised.
Being independent would mean listening to the electorate more so than other parties do, otherwise she is there for herself.
Holborow needs to be quizzed why she switched from Labour to independent.
I am uneasy with these types of people. I simply do not trust them. They have to earn the trust.
Labour Endorses Janet Holborow’s Campaign For Mayoralty …https://www.scoop.co.nz › Regional
11/07/2022 — The Labour Party is pleased to announce it has endorsed Janet Holborow’s independent campaign for the Mayoralty of Kapiti Coast.
Labour endorses an independent. What!
She is one of us though without a contract.

Thank you for that – I’m sure there are a few more trying to dodge the truth as well.
To be endorsed, she will have had to sign up to the aims of the labour party
If you haven’t figured out they are all self serving liars by now, you never will. “Vote and be happy”…
Not all candidates are, but certainly Holborow can be so-described.
To call herself independent and to also sign up with Labour is surely

Wasn’t Janet on the labour party list at the last election and nearly became an MP?
Yes, at 69 on the list, if she had been at 67 she would have become an MP with Mallard’s departure.

Dishonesty? Deception? What is going on?
