A Wellington City Councilor says the Mayor’s behavior has become an embarrassment for the city.
It comes after revelations Tory Whanau was publicly intoxicated at a Wellington bar two weeks ago.
Whanau responded to the allegations saying she is a flawed person but is getting professional help with her drinking problem.
But Councillor Nicola Young told Mike Hosking that Wellington can’t go on hold.
She said Whanau’s lost the trust of Wellingtonians.
Tory’s mantra at election meetings last year was “I am the change that Wellington needs”.
Quite significant Nicola Young reporting that she’s had only one conversation with the Mayor since she was elected. Guess they do all their communicating through the media.

To put oneself up for public office when she has an alcohol addiction shows a lack of integrity. Narcissism comes to mind.
