In January / Kohitātea we have five special events to look out for: weavers who are showing in Whiriwhiria will be working in the gallery and curator Vicki Robson will be giving a floortalk in Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho for Discover Kāpiti Heritage weekend; there will be an opening celebration for 22 Kāpiti artists supported by The Shed Project; the presentation of The People’s Choice Award in Arotake Toi Mahara Arts Review, and the opening of Elisabeth Vulling’s The Kilns Project.

We will join whanau, hapu, iwi and the community to mark Waitangi Day at Whakarongotai marae, on Saturday morning 3 February / Hui-tanguru, followed by the blessing of TOIORA, The Art of Wellbeing in Te Manawa Toi / Coastlands Gallery in Toi Mahara.
