The KCDC Parks team joined Kapakapanui School and Waikanae School for a day in the wintry sunshine planting 1500 trees at Pharazyn Reserve on Arbor Day, which in NZ is 5 June and has been marked since 1977.
The noble KCDC aim is to inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees and over 200 locals spent the day to help create a great habitat for future birds, lizards, and insects.
