This was premiered last night at the Calm Alarmist Law Madness public meeting held in Southwards, a one-hour investigation into this critical and complex issue impacting hundreds of thousands of Kiwis living along the coast.
The KCDC’s machinations and 12 year legal battles with Coastal Ratepayers United feature prominently.
What happens when your coastal home becomes “uninsurable”?
What does it mean for property values, councils, and entire communities?
And are these decisions being made with sound data—or extreme modelling and political pressure?
This isn’t just policy—it’s deeply personal for thousands of New Zealanders.
Managed Out uncovers the real stories, the modelling scam, and the human impact behind the growing push to “retreat.”
Go to RCR (Reality Check Radio) tonight at 8pm to get the full story, free. (There are several other interesting podcasts to be found on the website).
After reporting for months from Donbass, TV9 editor Manish Jha shared his perspective of covering the conflict with RT
Indian journalist Manish Jha, Editor at TV9 Network, spoke to RT following his recent trip to the Zaporozhye region, including a visit to the embattled Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). Drawing on months of on-the-ground reporting in Donbass, Jha offered a critical take on how major global media outlets have covered the conflict in Ukraine.
“Most mainstream media – be it CNN, The Washington Post, or Reuters – are treated like the Bible,” Jha said. “But when I came here, when I visited places in Donbass, Zaporozhye, Kherson – I started realizing how they lie to the entire world.”
Recalling one particularly harrowing incident, Jha said: “I was in Donetsk when it was heavily shelled. A rocket hit a bus right in front of me, and eight people were burned alive. I witnessed it while doing live reporting for my network. The next morning, I checked international media to see what they reported – and not a single line. That moment I realized we need to be independent and tell the truth to the world.”
Jha traveled to Moscow after joining a delegation of international journalists who toured the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, which Russia claims has come under repeated attack by Ukrainian forces. The ZNPP, Europe’s largest nuclear facility, has been under Russian control since March 2022. It is located in a region that later voted to join Russia following a public referendum. The plant is now operated by Rosatom, Russia’s state-owned nuclear energy company.
The Russian Defense Ministry has reported frequent drone and artillery strikes on the facility and the nearby city of Energodar, which it maintains are carried out by Ukrainian forces. Despite having a permanent monitoring mission at the site since September 2022, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has consistently refrained from naming the source of the attacks. This position has been questioned by journalists who visited the ZNPP, including Jha, who warned that continued strikes could risk a disaster greater than Chernobyl or Fukushima.
Jha also commented on NATO’s role in the ongoing conflict: “For the last three years, we’ve seen how 30 countries led by the US have tried to destroy Russia – but they haven’t succeeded. As a war reporter, I can tell you: NATO is exhausted. They need time to rebuild themselves.”
The journalist emphasized that India is among the countries that has consistently advocated for diplomacy and peace. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed this position last week in an interview with US podcaster Lex Fridman, stating that “the current situation presents an opportunity for meaningful and productive talks.”
Despite onging pressure from Western powers to distance itself from Moscow, India has refused to take sides. The Indian leadership has argued that New Delhi’s strong diplomatic ties with both Russia and Ukraine place it in a unique position to act as a mediator in future peace efforts.
Big Pharma had to do only one thing to protect their racket … and they did it.
Big Pharma has a Great Racket and there’s really only one entity that could stop this racket – real “watchdog” journalists working for mainstream news organizations.
If a curious person simply follows the money, it’s easy to identify how Big Pharma captured and controlled the world, a result that produced the Covid Catastrophe and many other calamities.
Here’s what clearly happened:
Big Pharma executives recognized they controlled a business that would produce billions (or trillions) of recurring cash flow.
However, as it turned out, legions of customers who used Big Pharma’s products end up suffering myriad life-altering injuries, including death.
The entire business model is, in fact, a diabolical criminal racket that requires a massive conspiracy to continue.
Not surprisingly, the companies and organizations that profit from this enterprise:
A) Do not won’t this lucrative racket to end …
B) Posses a strong desire to expand their business and become even wealthier and more powerful, and ..
C) Have a compelling motive to not be exposed for perpetrating “crimes against humanity.” (The accomplices do not want to end up in prison and/or be tarred and feathered by millions of consumers who suddenly realized they and their loved ones were actually victims of decades-long crimes.)
The members of this criminal syndicate, who are highly-intelligent and lack the moral compunctions of most people, realized only one event could end their criminal enterprises.
It’s hard to believe people like Merz, von der Lyin’, Macron and Starmer aren’t well aware that up to half the public ‘mahney’ they send gets stolen by the members and officials of the Zelesnky regime and about a third of the armaments get sold on the black market. Are Merz, Macron, Starmer and von der Lyin’ misappropriating their taxpayers’ money via the Zelensky regime to enrich themselves? Some non-Leftist investigative journalists need to start investigating.
The Gauleiter of Ukraine meets the new Führer of Germany.
Political colours in Canada are the same as in A/NZ/UK — red for Left, Blue for Conservative. BQ is the Bloc Québecois which only contests seats in Quebec, ND is New Democratic, an alternative Left party. Greenies fortunately don’t have much support.
As was expected, Canada’s new Leftist PM, Sean Casey (age 61), who replaces Trudeau, has taken advantage of a surge of support for the Liberal (read Leftist) Party after Trump suggested, tongue in cheek, that Canada could become the 51st state of the USA to avoid the tit-for-tat tarrifs. The Canadian snap election announced last Sunday has been given almost the shortest period possible under Canadian law, 36 days.
The idea of Canada and the US joining up is like the suggestion of Australia and NZ becomng one — some support it, but the majority don’t; nationalism is a powerful factor in people’s attitudes and and despite lots of similarites, Canadians see lots of things they don’t like in America: for them it’s vive la différence. In fact I remember once asking a guy in Europe what part of North America he was from as I was unsure of the accent. It was Canada, but the addition was “at least you didn’t accuse me of a being an American.” Wow.
Despite the nationalism and antagonism to the Trump administration when it comes to Canada’s neighbour, Casey is a comitted Globablist supporting all the Globalists’ nefarious plans and was an an advisor to Trudeau.
You may wonder what this matters to us, and it probably doesn’t much. Foreign policy including trade towards NZ wouldn’t change if the Consevatives win. But if Mr Casey’s party is again empowered by voters with its Globalist attitudes of big government to coerce, tax and spend on warmongering with the result of impoverishment, they will spread around the countries of what is still considered the First World and reinforce each other.
What of the Conservative Party of Canada? Its platform consists of most of what you would expect from a typical centre-right party and the fact that the Leftist Legacy media don’t call it ‘far right’ as they do for example the AfD in Germany and the National Rally in France means it’s probably not a threat to the WEF’s New World Order plans. At age 45 the good looking Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre may have appeal to younger voters, but how he and Casey rank as charismatic leaders I know not.
The council so far has not taken up our suggestion of calling it the Gaza Strip-Mall.
The council says: “Each container will be painted in native flower palettes to complement a community mural being painted at the Pop-Up this weekend.
“The Kapiti Art Studio, led by Rebecca Bond, is a group of differently abled artists who’ve contributed to several murals in Kāpiti. If you’re walking past the Pop-Up at 56–62 Main Road, pop-in and say hello to the artists. If you’d like to take part in the community mural you can find out more on our website.”
The Ōtaki electorate extends south including all of Kāpiti and down to Whitby and changes name from Ōtaki to Kāpiti but retains a big chunk of the current electorate.
These changes don’t take effect yet; I am still proud to be the MP for Ōtaki until the next election!
I’m excited to have all of Kapiti and down to Whitby in the electorate next election. I get people from right across Kapiti coming into my office now as I’m the only MP they see here, and of course I’m proud to help them all and will continue to do so.
I’m naturally gutted to lose Horowhenua. We are working hard to bring Horowhenua an exciting future, with the new expressway, new trains for public transport, housing, jobs opportunity and growth.
At the next election, wherever the lines are drawn, the only way we can keep growing our future, improving the cost of living and giving families in our region more opportunities and more choice is by voting for the National Party.
Of course, Tim would make the last comment, but we certainly want him to remain the local MP; his predecessor Terisa Ngobi was just lazy. South of the present Otaki boundary is the present Mana electorate which is strong Labour and even in 2023, Labour took the seat with a 7,000+ vote margin on candidate votes and nearly 4,000 margin on Party votes. However, most of that comes from the Porirua area so without it the votes will be much closer. —Eds
