This is at the end of Ngatiawa Road; the track entrance is the centre of the three drives.

There was this report of a mother and daughter who went missing on the Kapakapanui Loop Track and were found after three days.  It’s been several years since we last walked it and don’t remember a lot, but it won’t be suitable for the inexperienced. The highest point is 1102 metres above sea level, a fair bit above this starting place.
