One of the events in Waikanae’s November calendar for the past two years has been the Garden Trail which raises money for the Lions chosen charity.
But although Spring flowers look lovely, Spring weather is just too fickle to be sure of good turnouts, and after the one last November, a return to January was decided upon.
After having a November garden trail for two years in the Pauatahanui area, the Plimmerton Rotary likewise decided that January was a better proposition.
If the predictions of a hot dry summer prove accurate, the garden owners will need to use plenty of water to keep them looking great. The KCDC should be happy with that, as their water billings will go up.
