This is one of the historic documents displayed in the Kapiti museum in Elizabeth Street — a plan for a sale of lots from the Field Estate. The most notable feature is the land shown as reserved for a future motorway, which of course didn’t start being built until about 10 years ago and opened as the ‘Ewy’ in February 2017, about 400 metres to the west (from how it looks). It also shows a site for a future school, which was never built.
