See the post “Anger rises in Café Americana”. Although the bought-and-paid-for Legacy Media in Jacindaland pretends otherwise, there are a lot of angry and anxious people in Auckland who’ve had enough of her government’s Lockdown ‘elimination strategy’ for the China/Delta virus that in an outbreak of nearly 1,000 cases has seen only one death (of an already seriously ill 91-year-old), and everyone else recovered or on the way to it. We posted a year ago about the usual hospitalisations from other viruses — which run to 20,000+ annually — and the system has coped
The cost/benefit analysis just does not stack up, Jacinda.
In Jacinda land it is better to have empty hospitals rather than have them put to the use that they were intended for.
Angry Aucklanders? Que the protests which achieve nothing except more fear amongst the people through media pieces about the use of rubber bullets on unarmed protesters, just like in Australia.
What the people really need to do is stop getting tested when the get a snivel, go about their lives as normal and avoid protests which are easy for the police to respond to en-mass.
If there were millions of Aucklanders on the streets going about their lives as normal do you think the police would stand any chance of stopping and fining or arresting these people?
The courts would be overrun with cases, people need to challenge the unlawful fines in courts rather than just dole up the money.
Isn’t she starting to look haggard!
Well that’s been put through an aging filter app, but it’s probably accurate of how she will look at 66.
I wasn’t referring to that picture, this term in office hasn’t been kind to her. She is ageing rapidly, similar to what Obama’s second term did to him. Weight loss and a strained look in the eyes, she is most likely going grey rapidly too.
