Ted Johnston Co-Leader, New Conservative:
The Wellington convoy protests, just like their Canadian counterparts, happen when the public have no effective legal recourse against a government that arrogantly ignores them and tramples on their rights and freedoms.
Only New Conservative stands up for NZers rights and freedoms.
But we need your help and support to get into parliament so you will have a voice and it will not be silenced. We can force changes on the govt and laws to make them listen to the people.

Matt King, former National MP for Northland:
I’m pro-democracy, anti-mandate. I’m standing here with people who just want to be heard and for undemocratic mandates to end. For me, mandates are a line in the sand. (His address to the protest here)
Winston Peters (additional comments)
Trevor Mallard’s juvenile, undignified, and illegal behaviour by turning cold sprinklers on people, including children, and blasting loud music must be censored. Parliament is meant to be the people’s place. Mallard doesn’t get to decide who should have those fundamental rights and who doesn’t.
Chris Leitch, Social Credit Leader (additional comments)
Mahatma Ghandi used non-violent civil disobedience to oppose oppressive actions of the British government in India.
The time has come for New Zealanders to do the same to oppose the oppressive actions of our government.

I am sorry Waikanae Watch, but where were these people a week ago, where were they on January 17 when children began to be jabbed. I strongly suspect their motives are not honourable. I have no time for any of them.
Barbara McKenzie said:
Even if their motives are less than honourable (I make no comment on that), it’s useful to know that they are prepared to speak up, in this climate of marginalisation of dissent. Waikanae Watch should carry on monitoring public figures publicly dissenting.

Good on these (few) people, for standing up. We do not see the likes of Luxon and Seymour standing up, opposing jabcinda and talking to the people (though Seymour keeps posting) ………… get out there and talk to your people, the people you are elected to represent.
As for jabcinda ………….. lair and coward – despicable behaviour on your part. Like your “mate trudeau”, you can only hide for a time. Then your time is up.
Front up, take your medicine, and resign – you are exposed at every level; along with the rest of parliament on both sides of the house; mallard you include.

I heard Matt King talking to Kelvyn Alp on Counterspin Media about a week ago. Matt King showed he was a compromise artist. Would not take sides. To Kiwis: do not trust him.

He may have been hoping to be re-selected as a National candidate at that point? He’s burnt his bridges now.
Geoff Waterhouse said:
Absolutely. Matt King is just on an early reelection campaign (1)He jumped on the SNA bandwagon. I saw/heard him banging on about that. The SNA thing had been on the agenda when he was in Parliament, wonder why he never said anything then. Don’t recall him saying anything about it recently (2)He seemed to change his views on the jab. Bet your boots he wouldn’t have said anything if he had still been in Parliament, look what happened to the lady Nazional Party MP who was at the VFF I think it was (3)He became (self appointed) spokesman for the case that the cops are bringing against the government (4)Now he is spouting support for the convoy. I couldn’t sit and listen to all he said, he is almost as nauseating as Jasinister Ardeart
As for Winston Peters, well, he is just another unemployed politician trying to get back onto the government teat. We don’t NEED politicians, we just need people with integrity. They ALL need to go. There is sooooooooo much more to be said but it would take up too much space. At this risk of being boringly repetitive, remember “You ALWAYS know when a POLITICIAN is telling LIES, his/her LIPS are MOVING”

Can you give more details about what Matt was refusing to take a position on?
