A typical comment from a Kapiti Facebook page–
My car got broken into, trashed and stolen from yesterday or the night before on Lorna Irene Drive, I called the police and they said they would send someone over in 20 minutes. between the time of 11.30 to about 4.30 I had called 3 extra times to ask when they where showing up, just to be told it wasn’t important enough for the cops to come investigate. All the time while I needed to get my car towed and I was waiting for a cop to show up. I am shocked at the lack of action and care by our police to the point they won’t even come look at the scene of a crime.
Three practical steps you can take to prevent car theft:
- Install an Audible Alarm System and Anti-Theft Device.
- Install a Vehicle Immobilizer System.
- Install a Tracking System.

They have no trouble finding police to bully peaceful protesters, or dish out traffic fines, but they struggle with the real crimes that are more important to the people they serve.

You got right. They also have no problem rushing to the aid of the manager at Kerikeri New World who, along with some of his staff, were in fear of violence from 5 (FIVE) non-mask wearing pensioners who were “insighting” (his spelling not mine) others to take off their masks. The senior cop then issued a “failing to wear a face mask” infringement to me, even though he KNEW and ADMITTED in his “Summary Of Facts,”/work of fiction that I HAD an exemption and was wearing my exemption card. Other cops got in on the act and during the 6 months it dragged on, a total a total of 11 (YES ELEVEN) plods were involved. Just THREE days BEFORE I was due for my second day in court, Robocop Ross wrote telling me that the infringement thing had been WITHDRAWN and there was no need for me to go to court. It COULD have been withdrawn 6 months earlier, in view of my exemption and should never have been issued in the first place. There is a lot more to this story

Generally it is a member of the public that will report a vehicle having being sat outside their home for several days and they think it was stolen, cops will then call you and you have to pick it up or get a tow truck to pick it up. Once you have your property back the cops will call you and ask to come and fingerprint the vehicle and may even ask for your prints as a means of elimination. Simply say sure then when they turn up just say you changed your mind and tell them to leave. They only want the prints for their own benefit, they will never find or charge anyone with the theft of your vehicle, they use these things as leverage against suspects of more serious crimes with statements like a partial print very similar to yours was found on several stolen vehicles, even though the suspect of the other crime may have never been near a stolen vehicle. Cops being cops. I’d also think seriously about what they do with your “elimination” prints should they get them.

Those who are in Coster’s Intel computer as Jacinda regime opponents will probably get that. Maybe if they don’t know otherwise, tell the Coster Mob that you’re a Jacinda supporter and the thieves are right wing extremists?
