She calls any non-Maori who disagrees with her a “settler/colonizer” and “we are your worst nightmare”. Who ‘we’ are isn’t clear, but most likely similarly-minded academics.
And she makes clear what she wants to see happen to “settler/colonizers” — attacked from behind and stabbed in the chest with a big knife.
Fortunately, she only represents a small number of radical extremists, like the two present Maori Party MPs, but the level of her violent fantasies are a real cause for concern.

My Maori friends don’t talk like this, where do these people come from? You can hate the colonising countries all you want, French, British, Dutch and German all had a go at NZ. The British took control when Maori decided that it was in their best interest. It could have been worse, they could have got the deal that India or China got.
The British were blood thirsty back in history, they would happily wipe out any that stood in their way. Many other nations have taken this path also. Even North Island Maori when they colonised the South Island and wiped out the South Island Maori.
A wise leader knows when they stand no chance and have been conquered. Complaining about that decission over a hundred years later is redundant when you realise that if the choice had been to fight, then you would most likely not even be here.
Our Maori friends don’t talk like that either, they’re quite the opposite.

This woman represents both of those, she is trying to incite racial hatred and violence yet is the head of the government system the ‘National Centre of Research Excellence for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism’.
It really is becoming a joke.
