This infographic shows the places where the most journalists were killed in 2022 (16 countries not shown had one death each). In Mexico, journalists’ deaths with a direct link to their journalistic work represented almost 20 percent of the worldwide total. As detailed by Reporteurs sans Frontières (Reporters without Borders): “At least 80 journalists have been killed in connection with their work in Mexico in the past ten years (including 46 in the past five) despite repeated calls from civil society and international organizations for the government to combat the violence more effectively.”
Yeah you don’t upset the gangs in Mexico, it’s why politicians that get oppressive or try and fight the gangs end up hanging from motorway bridges.
Most ordinary people never get bothered by the gangs unlike in NZ where the government comes and takes 50%+ of what you earn and if you fight back you will end up in jail, beaten or shot by the patched enforcement division run by Coster.
Tell me the difference. The only one I see is less show trials.
