A year after the teachers’ group NZTSOS were in the High Court of New Zealand challenging the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, they are getting ready to go back to Wellington and appear in the Court of Appeal.
“This case is about ordinary, everyday New Zealanders who are concerned about rights guaranteed by New Zealand Bill of Rights being unjustifiably limited” said NZTSOS spokesperson Mike Shaw.
Shaw said “We still hold those concerns about our fundamental rights. We will not be silenced. We are heading back to Wellington and to the Court of Appeal in April”.
What is this Appeal about?
In March 2022 a group of teachers and medical professionals were in the Wellington High Court seeking a judicial review of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021. The group of teachers and doctors challenged the lawfulness of a vaccine mandate for workers in the health and disability, and education sectors. A few days before the High Court ruled on the challenge, the government dropped the mandates in the education sector.
The Crown accepted that the measures imposed by the vaccine mandate did limit the fundamental rights of affected persons, particularly the right to refuse to undergo medical treatment as provided under s 11 of the Bill of Rights. However, Justice Cooke ruled that this limitation was justified.
Affidavits were presented in the High Court from a large numbers of teachers. One teacher said he was harmed by his first vaccination in November 2021. He was admitted to hospital in December with pericarditis. He then applied through his GP for an exemption in early December but this was denied. Other people described similar adverse reactions in their evidence. For example, one school principal had suffered three heart attacks and did not wish to be vaccinated. He applied for and was declined an exemption.
“Frankly put, this is terrifying. When a man gets hospitalised with pericarditis because he is coerced into receiving an mRNA injection and then you tell him he must get another one, or lose his job, you have to question whether our New Zealand Bill of Rights is worth anything anymore. This is just one of the reasons why we are appealing the Court’s ruling” says Shaw, “If we don’t stand up for section 11 of our Bill of Rights now we may lose them all in the future. We have learnt to live with the virus, but there will be other pandemics in the future. “
“We are excited to have Frontline Law, which successfully challenged the NZDF and Police mandate, in our corner representing us on this appeal. Pyke and Green are also working with us to appeal the separate Palmer J ruling.
This has gone far beyond trying to get teachers jobs back. This is about the basic human rights of all New Zealanders.”
The specific grounds of the Cooke J appeal are:

inA certain Michelle Duff — whose main claim to infamy has been authoring a book praising Comrade Jacinda — composed an article headed ‘Tusiata Avia can’t wait to make you uncomfortable” which appeared on Sunday 19 February,
More than uncomfortable, it was so revolting that the Stuffers removed the whole article from their website, but thanks to the Wayback Machine web archive it can be read here.
What made it particularly objectionable was an embedded video consisting of a recitation by this sicko that was clearly intended to incite hatred against those of European descent.
In our view by publishing this material Ms S. Boucher and her company have committed an offence against Section 131 of the Human Rights Act and we have filed a complaint with the Human Right Commission. We’ll see what happens.

inIn soccer, a team member who propels the ball into his/her own goal-net is said to have scored an own goal, and it’s a point for the opposing team. That’s what Chris Luxon did with his humiliating rebuke of MP Maureen Pugh.
by Karl du Fresne
The irony of the Maureen Pugh furore is that it has caused far more damage to Christopher Luxon than to Pugh.
Luxon has come out of it looking like a control freak, intolerant of any deviation from the party line.
This should surprise no one. He comes from a corporate background, and the corporate world values conformity above almost everything else. Original thinkers are seen as problematical and even threatening. Conventional men who play golf and wear suits are naturally most comfortable in the company of other conventional men who play golf and wear suits.
John Key came from a corporate background too, but of a different type: one that placed a high value on individual risk-taking. One difference between Key and Luxon is that Key, for all his faults, seemed to have more trust in his own judgment.

inThe forces of the State don’t want independent media there reporting, only the TV1 and Newshub crews who can be relied upon to report the official government version only.
Counterspin Media were told to Stuff off by members of the Coster Mob, to be expected maybe as this government and its Mob Leader don’t like them, but so has Mana News, run by Maori who you might think (based on its pretence) this government would be favourable towards. But no, same treatment. “We decide what grievances you can present to the public” seems to be this government’s attitude.
From their Faceback page:
SHARE SHARE SHARE…
For whatever reason, the powers that be are not only not reporting the truth of what is going on, but now there are active moves to stop those reporting.
We have experienced several issues with keeping this video up, facebook banning it from being shared by some peoples reports, adding restrictions, not allowing us to pin it (original)….
Please share it, has been downloaded and re-uploaded so we try again.

inThis can only be described as pure hubris aimed at pleasing Biden and the Washington warmongers; it probably has little likelihood of being carried out, and no chance of success.
from the Daily Telegraph NZ
Ukraine is preparing an offensive to try and seize Russia’s Crimean peninsula, President Vladimir Zelensky said on Friday at a press conference. Kiev is forming new units specifically for the task, with servicemen undergoing training abroad, he revealed.
“We’re taking military steps, we are preparing for them. We are mentally prepared already. We prepare technically, with weapons, forces, we form new brigades, we form offensive units of various kinds and types, we are sending people for training not only in Ukraine, you know, but also in other countries,” Zelensky stated.
The president, as well as other top officials, has repeatedly pledged to re-capture all of the former Ukrainian territories from Russia, including Crimea. The peninsula broke away from the country back in 2014 in the aftermath of the Maidan coup in Kiev, joining Russia after a landslide referendum.
Four other formerly-Ukrainian territories, namely the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions, were incorporated into Russia after the overwhelming majority of their populations voted in favor of the idea last September.
Neither reunification with Crimea, nor the latest incorporations of other regions got Western recognition, with Kiev and its backers considering these lands part of Ukraine.
Russia has repeatedly warned Kiev against plotting an assault on Crimea. Early in February, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, who now serves as Deputy Chair of the Security Council, said that any attack on Crimea would be interpreted as a direct attack on the country itself and would be “met with inevitable retaliation using weapons of any kind.”

WEEDS (A NEW WAY TO DEAL TO THEM)
This week I received a book from an old friend of mine, Julia Sich which she has written and called Julia’s Guide to Edible weeds and Wild Green Smoothies.
Many of you will know the ‘Weed Lady’ through her previous book and workshops.
In your gardens you will likely have a number of plants we call ‘weeds’ which are of benefit to your diet and health.
The definition of a ‘weed’ is simply ‘a plant that is growing where we do not want it to grow’.
Many of the plants we grow for food or for their flowers; when allowed to self seed they become weeds.
I recommend that you obtain a copy of Julia’s book and learn to your benefit, many of the plants you pull out, kill and compost which could be better off been cultivated and consumed.
The book is available in two formats as a down load E Book or as a printed publication. The website is https://www.juliasedibleweeds.com and the book is available for NZ$19.95 for the E-book OR $34.95 plus postage for the printed version.
The book gives you both the common names and the Botanical names as well as coloured pictures to assist in identification.
Each weed has a written description along with its nutritional values and how to use them for your benefit.
Mind you if the Government had its way it would ban the use of these natural plants and their ancient uses if favour of Big Pharma’s bottom line. (Therapeutic Products Bill)
Pharmaceutical companies hate natural remedies even though many of their concoctions were originally derived from plant’s properties.
If you have the knowledge such as given in Julia’s book then you can look after your own well being as our fore fathers did from all races on the planet. (And at no expense if out of the weeds in your gardens)
We have to read and learn about the advantages of these plants but in Nature animals know what is best for them as far as their well being is concerned.
For instance if you place cattle into a paddock that has a wide range of plants including weeds, the cattle will consume the ones that they need for better health beside eating a lot of grass.
Which is an interesting point in so much as grass is also very good for your health and in particular, wheat grass and barley grass.
That is if you apply all the known minerals and element to the growing medium.
Reason is that grasses will take up all the minerals available where other plants such as tomatoes only require 56 of the known 114 mineral and elements.
That is why some farmers will apply what we sell as Ocean Solids to their paddocks to the great benefit of their stock’s health.
I remember a farmer telling me one time about his practice of spraying diluted sea water over his paddocks which was much to the annoyance of his farming neighbour,
because a certain amount of the sea spray would fall onto the neighbors side of the fence and when the neighbour let his stock into that paddock they would rush over to the area by the fence line and demolish the mineral rich grasses growing there.
Julia mentions your’s truly in her book and in particular in regards to ‘Smoothies’
I presume many of you have or still do on occasions, if not regularly, go out and pick a range of greens and put them into a high speed blender with a banana and wizz up a very beneficial brew.
The banana addition takes away some of the unpleasant taste of some plants and makes your drink very palatable.
Julia tells the story of how smoothies solved health issues that she once had as I found the same many years ago when I first started making smoothies from as many different plants as I could get my hands on.
Some plants are nice to eat raw and have flavors that make them appealing such as salad crops.
The rest including grasses are better taken raw in a smoothie.
Besides being of great benefit to your health another very good reason to find out what weeds you can eat is the unusual weather that has affected New Zealand recently.
Here is a update from a Food Producer in the Hawkes Bay: ‘Hi everyone, food producer here. Just wanted to write an easily digestible post so people can understand how severe the destruction in H.B is for the whole of N.Z
The media aren’t really discussing it fully and people I speak to can’t seem to wrap their heads around how serious this is for us as a country.
What’s been lost: It’s called the fruit bowl for a reason, not just grapes and apples but also pears, onions, corn, carrots, blueberries, strawberries, honey, dairy, beef, sheep products including wool and also apiaries, nurseries and seedbanks.
Wineries and orchards have had heritage trees and vines utterly wiped out. We’re talking 30-40-year-old plants gone. Countless bee hives and fields of crops buried under a metre of silt.
These aren’t just for fresh produce but also wine, vinegar, honey, bread and processed fruit and vegetables for things from muesli bars to ice cream and condiments.
The layer of silt now covering the once fertile land has been completely smothered. There’s so much cleaning up to be done before people can replant and fertilise it will take years to get back even close to normal.
In that time we’ll see massive shortages of all the above, affecting almost all food items you can think of.
A very apt warning and not only in NZ but also in many major food producing areas of the world, either through Floods or Droughts millions of acres of crops have been lost..
Think about that. You might want to start cultivating a few weeds for a ‘rainy day’.
Of course, as we have seen this spring and summer a lack of blue skies with nice fluffy white clouds which has also greatly affected our home gardens as well as commercial growers.
Direct sunshine is what all plants use to create carbohydrates which is the energy that makes them grow, flower and produce seeds.
Hazy skies and cloud cover that prevents direct sunlight being available for plants and solar panels is a very big concern.
In 2006 this matter was brought up at the United Nations and the speech about it can be heard here
It’s well worth 18 minutes of your time to be better informed. (Nowadays they talk about ‘Planet Shading’ which would be a bit like a ‘Nuclear Winter’ — no sun and plants dont grow.)
Playing with weather or the ability to produce or prevent weather patterns is a fact and these days it is hard to determine what is natural and what is man-made.
If severe weather events we have experienced are not natural then a lot of people who have been badly affected will be very unhappy for sure.
