
It almost became a symbol of NZ under the Chippy government with tens of thousands of them everywhere — long land of orange road cones or as the MSM would call it “whenua roa o nga koeko huarahi karaka” which in practice symbolised “potholes and lane closures for you”.
This giant version was rather incongruously on display at yesterday’s Coffee and Cars at Southwards, probably the best attended we’ve yet been to.

It was an impressive sight for sure. Lots of people and cars there when I passed by. Looked to be a successful day for all.
