We’ve mentioned the results of asking an AI (artificial intelligence) story generator to describe a visit to Waikanae, which was more than a little out (see earlier post). So we thought we’d try an AI photo generator and asked a free site (we can’t afford a pay one) for a picture of “a woman reading a book at Waikanae railway station.”
The results looked like a bad trip by the AI generator, in the drug-induced sense. Only a few of the 40 or so results could pass as a real scene, and none as Waikanae station. Samples below of the better ones. Oh well, just stay with the old fashioned method.

The one we used has a ‘safe filter’ regarding that sort of thing, but there are sure to be pay versions which don’t.
