How did we get from “the U.S. will support Israel’s attack on Iran” to “the U.S. will attack Iran”?
NBC News reports that US military officials have discussed launching “very limited” airstrikes against Iranian targets inside Iran or outside of the country. Even though Israel has reportedly not briefed the U.S. on its plans to retaliate against Iran, the U.S. is ready to strike nevertheless.
President Biden is reportedly scheduled to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Matthew Miller from the U.S. State Department was pushed on the U.S. support for Israel by several reporters. Said Arikat, a professor and former UN spokesperson, asked why the U.S. has given Israel almost $23 billion and has no leverage over what they do with it.
The Grayzone’s Liam Cosgrove asked Miller about “arming militaries that are striking in territories with nuclear power” while denying accountability for the civilian deaths in Gaza, Syria and Lebanon. Miller could not answer for this but suggested that Cosgrove give a speech somewhere else in Washington. To which he replied: “People are sick of the bullshit here. It is a genocide. You are abetting it. And you are risking nuclear war in Ukraine and Iran!”
Another thing Miller said merits attention. He said “We do support Israel launching these incursions to degrade Hezbollah’s infrastructure.” Journalist Aaron Maté said this about it: “The use of term ‘Hezbollah infrastructure’ is revealing. Miller could have said ‘Hezbollah military targets’. But he knows that Israel is also destroying Lebanese civilian infrastructure, and he’s signaling that the US is fully on board with that too, just as it is in Gaza.”
What spin will the Biden regime, its Legacy Media and NATO apologists use to justify an attack on Iran? Is Iran building bio-weapons facilities on America’s border like the DNC’s Ukraine was next to Russia? Is it persecuting Americans, preventing them from using English, banning their religion(s), threatening American commercial interests?
Certainly, it’s an awful regime which supports terrorist organisations and commits human rights abuses. But while there is a movement inside Iran for ousting the Theocratic Dictatorship that has ruled for 45 years, our advice is to let the Iranians do it themselves. An attack by the blood-lusting Biden / Blinken the Butcher on their country won’t endear most Iranians to that objective, neither will an attack by Netanyahu. Of relevance to the subject, here’s a video of Iran’s Crown Prince in Exile criticizing the Iranian regime on a Tousi Mahyar’s podcast (himself a refugee from Iran and is the target of death threats by it).
