Pics by Auckland Botanical Gardens. There is no botanical garden in Kapiti — we have suggested some of Otaraua Park south of the Waikanae River be allocated to this, but it has fallen on deaf ears at the Council.

Kapiti people cant afford the rates now let alone giving the council another cash cow project to milk the cash from their punters !
Time to cut back on costs which doesnt include spending more to establish a new Botanical Gardens , especially when people are being forced to sell up and move because they cant afford the current rates !
