It’s a sign of the changes happening that he was there at all — a month ago under the Biden regime he would have been ignored.

Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of the Russian State Duma amid Hysteria in Munich. Today marks the end of the three-day Munich Security Conference. It is time to sum up the results. Several conclusions can be drawn:
First, today’s European political elite, most of whom have made a large number of mistakes and taken decisions that are harmful to their countries in the first place, are trying to preserve themselves by clinging to power by all means. It looks very pathetic and unconvincing.
Second, the collective institutions of the European Union, represented by their leaders, do not understand what is happening in the world and have shown their incompetence and inadequacy.
Third, the German leaders, who had previously set the tone as the host country, were unable to make proposals that would have united everyone. They agreed to declare a state of emergency in their country.
Fourth, against this background, the speech of US Vice-President Vance, who gave an objective assessment of what was happening in the European countries, stood out from the others. But he was not supported. The participants of the conference were not ready to hear the truth about themselves. All the subsequent statements of the European leaders showed that Vance only caused them a fit of irritation and anger. They could not hide their negative feelings. But this was not surprising. They were ardent supporters of the other candidate in the US election.
Analysing what happened in Munich, we can say with certainty that the European Union and its international institutions, including the parliamentary ones, are facing serious changes. They will be difficult and painful. We can speak of conflicts and crises that will accompany this process. Democratic procedures have become decorative in many EU countries. They have long been forgotten and ignored in pan-European structures. Therefore, it will not be easy for the healthy forces that realise the public demand for the renewal of power. They will create all kinds of obstacles to prevent them from going through the electoral process. As happened in Romania during the presidential campaign. Or in France and Germany, when undesirable political parties won. But change is inevitable.
